Winter in October by BogdanEpure Winter in October by BogdanEpure
This is a photo that I made when most of the people choose to stay in their houses. It was October 15th and it was well known that will be a very cold day with chances of rain or snow. Me and an old friend and ex-classmate decided to go hiking on the mountains to enjoy the nature and our efforts were rewarded. When we started to climb the mountain it was autumn there but as much as we climbed it slowly started to turn into a snowy landscape. On the top of this small mountain (Rarau) it was a layer of snow of at least 20cm thick. I started to feel cold but once again I rediscovered the power of fire...

Excellent shot. The golden strands remind me of veins, in a cold body.

Very nice. It was well worth it to go out even if the sun was not shining, the landscape and shot is great.

Thank you, Christian. My point was to manage transmitting that through my photo. I'm glad I succeeded.

Aw, fresh snow. Neat capture. Tastefully composed. Did the darkening at the edges result from the lens or an effect put in later?

Thank you very much Hannah. It is from the lens... I have this problem on most of my photos when I shoot at wide angle. This time I liked it.

Yes, it works well here. That's curious. I haven't noticed that with my wide angle lens. What kind do you have?
