This was taken Monday, on my trip to Borsa, Maramures.
What you see here is a big dog, a Romanian shepherd of Bucovina. This is the type of dog that will protect his master and his fortune from wild animals like wolfs, bears and from thieves. They often engage in fights with wolfs and bears. They're great friends and usually the only friends in wild and unpopulated regions like this one.
