This is the river Moldova which gave the name of the great medieval state of Moldavia. Photo made during my race back home in the last weekend when I photographed two of the most beautiful monasteries in Bucovina.

Thank you but I have one correction which might be interesting for you. The republic of Moldova, is an ex-Romanian territory. In fact Romania formed in 1918 by the unification of 2 countries: Romania + Transilvania. the old Romania was composed of other 2 countries that got united half a century before that. those countries are: Moldova and Tara Romaneasca. After the WWII the Romanian region called Moldova (ex-country Moldova) was split up in half by soviets. So now there are two Moldova if I can say so: the western part of it (which belongs to Romania) and the eastern part of it which is now called Republic of Moldova. My photo is made in the western part so it is made in Romania, in the region called Moldova.
I hope I've explained you well. If you have other questions please ask.
